2015 Medallion Play

Beginning with a large block of your choice, you will add borders each month, following rules given in class. During class we will look at each person’s project and offer suggestions for the next border. This is similar to a round robin, but you will work only on your own quilt. Every quilt is unique. This class meets once a month for six months and is lots of fun. Intermediate level. Tuesdays: 1/20, 2/17,3/17, 4/21, 5/19, 6/16 12:00-2:30 or 6:00-8:30 Instructor: Gwen Lundgren

2015 Mystery Class

2015 Mystery Quilt This class meets once a month for nine months, then ends with a big show and tell party. You will be given one set of instructions (a clue), each month. With a little sewing each month, you will have a new quilt top finished by December. Choice of five sizes; wall, throw, twin, queen or king. Choose from one of five class times. This mystery may be done by mail, if you prefer. Intermediate level. First Tuesdays: 1/6, 3/3, 4/7, 5/5, 6/2, 7/7, 8/4, 9/1, 10/6 10:30-12:30 2nd Tuesdays: 1/13, 3/10, 4/14, 5/12, 6/9, 7/14, 8/11. 9/8, 10/13 6:00 - 8:00 Saturdays: 1/10, 3/14, 4/11, 5/9, 6/13, 7/11, 8/8, 9/12, 10/10 10:00 - 12:00 Instructor: Gwen Lundgren

Beyond Beginner

Learn several new cutting and piecing skills while you improve basic techniques. You will choose blocks you like and put them together in a wall hanging or throw size quilt. Must have taken a beginner class or have permission from instructor. Four 2 ˝ hour classes. Fee: $60, supplies extra. Machine Quilting

You have worked hard to finish your beautiful quilt top -- now what!! This 3-session class is exactly what you need. In each session, you will receive both lecture and much hands-on practice. Your quilting questions will be answered in regard to prepping a quilt top, supplies needed, what a walking foot is and how to use it creatively, how to use your free-motion foot along with suggestions for several designs to practice. Whether you are a beginning quilter or want to improve your quilting skills, come join us for what is certain to be an educational and fun 3-session series on machine quilting. Please note: You will need to bring your own sewing machine along with your own WALKING FOOT and FREE MOTION FOOT to each of the 3 classes.
