What is not to love about a bag that carries your quilting rulers and serves a a pressing board!! In this class, we will make a pressing board with a handy pocket on the other side using basic bag making techniques. A great way to use some fun fabrics!! The pattern has a variety of sizes and options. In the class we will be making the 8” X 24” pressing board, using left over bolts that Quilter’s Haven will provide for us.
Materials Needed:
Pattern “Sew ImPressed” (available at Quilter’s Haven)
Bolt (provided)
¾ yard batting
¾ yard fabric for the covering
5/8 yard fabric for the pocket
1/8 yard fabric or 2 ½” scrap for the pocket trim
RECOMMENDED – SF 101 Interfacing for backing your fabric pieces
8” of twill tape, ribbon (used in sample) or webbing
Masking tape
Sewing Machine
General Sewing supplies – pins, thread, scissors. You will also need a rotary cutter and ruler (there are a few available at the shop for use during the class – however, feel free to bring one if you prefer). |
