Do you love the fabrics and the quilts from the civil war era? Would you like to learn more about the history of the civil war and the impact of that time period on quilting as we know it today? Join our Civil War Club that will meet on the 4th Mon evening from 6-8:30 every month; we will share historical information, have fabric and block exchanges and  time to sew in our great classroom. Bring your machine or hand work and enjoy the company of other quilters just as they did in the civil war days. In Jan we will begin the Civil War Journals BOM program featuring the beautiful new line of reproduction fabrics from Judie Rothermel that will give you the choice of creating four small quilts, one each quarter, or save the blocks to make one large quilt at the end of the fourth quarter. These quilts are gorgeous,be sure to watch for the ads about this program in the latest quilting magazines. The club leaders will be Jean and Kristi. Call the shop to register as space is limited.

The club will begin meeting on October 24, 2011 -- sign up now!!!
