Ann Poulson
I have been doing some sort of sewing since junior high. Like
many others, I started by making clothes and along the way found
quilting. One of the things I love to do is embellish
my work. I often embellish my pieces with beads, yarns,
stencils, and silk. I has also strayed off the quilting
path and taken up felting. I just plain love textiles
of any kind! I love the way they feel in my hands and
the way they look. Basically I’m a fiber-holic.

Alyssa Jagdfeld
My mother started teaching me to sew when I was in the second
grade. Somewhere in a box I probably still have that cow
printed vest and shorts outfit! Through the years I’ve
sewn everything from formal dresses to simple coasters, but
since finishing my first quilt while in high school, nothing
compares to my passion for quilting. There are always
new techniques to learn, new fabrics to work with, and new patterns
to be designed.
I am excited to begin teaching quilt classes and am grateful
to have been given the opportunity.

Gwen Lundgren
Gwen is the designer and author of numerous patterns that
sell nationwide, under the name Touch of Love. She loves to
design and teach mystery quilts. She especially enjoys designing
new quilts by combining and simplifying traditional blocks.
As much as Gwen likes designing, her first love is teaching
and she is known for her patience with students. She has been
teaching quilting classes for nearly 20 years. Quilting is her
addiction and her goal is to get others addicted. Her classes
are always fun and full of helpful quilting tips. |
Cindy Fink

a local Bernina dealer. Over the past 14 years I have enjoyed
teaching a variety of classes and clubs for many different Bernina
dealers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. I am certified in
pattern drafting, fitting and alterations plus have operated
a fitting and alterations business for ten years from my home. |

Suzy Klein
I think I have always been in love with fiber arts. I
started sewing in middle school and just kept going. I’ve
sewn everything from prom dresses to futon skins. I’ve
made hundreds of dolls and I am a total “bag lady”. I
even picked up knitting last year because I decided that just
buying yarn because I liked the feel and color, was really a
little silly!
Quilting is my true love. Fabrics and colors galore! What
is better than giving a quilt to someone you love and seeing
them wrap themselves in the warmth of your hard work?
Now let’s add fabulous wools to the mix and our creative
juices can run wild.
By day I am an administrative assistant in the Human Resources
department for School District 196. I completed my BS
in HR management in 2006. I have two grown children and
reside in Apple Valley with my husband of 24 years and a slightly
crazy golden retriever

Vickie Brownell
Vickie works at Quilter's Haven two to three days per week
and also teaches several classes for the quilt shop. Vickie
is always happy to assist customers with selecting a new project
or finding fabric for a new project. Vickie loves all
espects of quilting but especially loves miniatures, hand
embroidery, needlepoint and paper piecing. She
is well versed in the Bernina machine line and loves sewing
on her Bernina and doing machine embroidery. Vickie
remembers when her passion for quilting started: "Even
though I could barely sew, I was determined to learn
how to piece a quilt. During the day, I managed IT Programs for
the City of San Diego and at night, I covered my dining room/living
room with quilt blocks! My husband was deployed overseas
at the time, so I took advantage of all the space available. It
wasn't until he returned that I bought a sewing table and
organized a sewing room. "
Vickie lives in Farmington with my husband of
30+ years and her three cats (Everest, Onyx, and fuzzy baby,
Autumn).

Carol Droste
At the age of five (1958), my grandmother taught me to knit
and crochet. I remember sitting at her knee working with
the needles while at the same time she managed to sneak in a
few words of German, which I still recall. Grandma had a treadle
sewing machine that was used to teach me to sew. When
Grandma passed, my mother took over and I got to use the electric
machine! I have been sewing since and started my own home business
in 1991. I like to say I sew gifts and treasures, as my
focus is on products that create memories. Mittens may not have
much long-term emotional attachment to the receiver, but they
will be much appreciated, that I can attest to. Since
making mittens for over 10 years for schools, sororities, clubs,
etc, they have been worn and worn and re-ordered. Whether
the mittens are plain or embroidered you will be a hit with
a custom, Minnesota necessity.
